Checkpoint, Chennai: Factory Re-engineering
A subsidiary of CCL Industries, Checkpoint ALS is a global apparel technology leader with 18 production sites worldwide, providing RFID and labeling solutions to some of the world’s most recognized fashion brands, including Zara, Primark, Lacoste, and Decathlon.
The Checkpoint Chennai facility faced operational inefficiencies caused by fragmented workflows and inefficient space utilization. Through a comprehensive re-engineering approach, we optimized material flow, improved operational visibility, and built a scalable foundation for future growth.
The Challenge
“The challenge was lack of space and visibility into how existing space, movement, inventory, and operational systems were interacting with one another.”
As production demands increased, the facility's existing infrastructure began to limit efficiency. The issue was not only the shortage of space, but limited visibility into how space, material flow, inventory, and operations interacted.
The insight: The constraints were not only by a lack of space, but by the way the entire system functioned as an interconnected ecosystem.
